In the lobby of the Carte Hotel at 401 West Ash Street in Little Italy, RMD Group runs this concept in the space that once held Watercolors. The kitchen moves through the day: eggs and pancakes in the morning, wagyu burgers and shrimp toast by afternoon, shareable plates and cocktails like the Stay Classy and the Western Gull once the bar takes over in the evening. A live-music series runs Wednesdays from 5:30 to 8:30pm, and the space opens onto a patio for people-watching along Ash Street.
