The restaurant takes its name and its wraparound layout from the Hotel del Coronado's original 1888 veranda, a twenty-foot-wide porch that once ran a continuous 1,800 feet around the Victorian building. It opened in April 2025 in the space that had been Sheerwater, with 159 seats split between an 18-seat indoor room and outdoor tables facing the Pacific. The kitchen leans on Southern California produce and coastal classics: grilled artichokes, broiled West Coast oysters in chorizo butter, whole red mountain trout, Dungeness crab, and a Friday seafood boil with Maine lobster.
