A kitchen turning out wings, loaded fries, burgers and wraps, plus a patio facing 30th Street, make 619 Spirits look like any other North Park restaurant until a cocktail arrives made entirely from San Diego-made spirits: an Old Fashioned built on Vista's Henebery whiskey, a French 75 on You & Yours gin. The vodka is distilled on site by founder Nick Apostolopoulos, whose flavors include cucumber, scorpion pepper, coffee, rose petal and a pickle infusion he spent two years developing; a taster flight of all five is possible only because California law lifts its 1.5-ounce pour limit for venues that also serve food. Bartenders keep Jack Daniels and Grey Goose off the shelf entirely.
