A newer Crown Point taproom trades North Park Beer Co.'s original Craftsman-styled beer hall for a beachier look: patios out front and walls painted with cartoon characters mid-kick, one shaped like a pizza slice and one like the hop cone from the label of its Hop Fu IPA. The dough for its 12- and 18-inch pies ferments three days before a rotating-plate Italian oven finishes it in under five minutes past 700 degrees. Two dozen taps of house beer and guest wine and kombucha sit beside a soda fountain stocked with Boylan flavors for the kids in tow.
