Ocean Beach Brewery

A three-story brewpub on Newport Avenue in Ocean Beach stacks a street-level bar, a floor with foosball and shuffleboard, and a rooftop deck built to be the highest point in the neighborhood. The brewhouse works in Old World styles rather than the usual coastal IPA lineup — a dunkelweizen took silver at the World Beer Cup, and a smoked German lager medaled at the San Diego County Fair's professional competition. Burgers, mahi tacos, and a wings basket come out of the kitchen, and dogs are welcome on the patio.
