A 1909 beach cottage called The Brodiaea, a short walk from La Jolla Cove, now houses this Northern Italian kitchen run by Milan-born chef Stefano, who makes pasta and gluten-free pizza dough from scratch daily. The menu runs from gnocchi with gorgonzola, pear and pistachio to a Brasato al Barolo over risotto and a classic cotoletta alla milanese, with a separate vegan menu alongside the gluten-free options. Seating is indoor or on the patio, and the room takes reservations through OpenTable.
