Isola Pizza Bar

Massimo Tenino, who grew up cooking with his grandmother in Italy's Liguria and Piedmont regions, opened the first Isola in Little Italy in 2012 before adding a La Jolla location four years later. Ovens imported from Naples handle more than pizza here, also roasting vegetables, firing seafood, and finishing meat and calzones, alongside a menu of fifteen specialty pizzas built from family recipes. A happy hour runs Wednesday through Friday at the India Street location, which also keeps a back patio for private events.
