Karina’s Cantina Gaslamp

Karina's Group, the family hospitality company behind Karina's Mexican Seafood, opened this Gaslamp Quarter cantina across 7,000 square feet of communal and private dining. DJs and live music perform weekly from a second-floor mezzanine above the main dining room. The kitchen runs the same ceviche and Mexican seafood specialties as the family's other San Diego locations, alongside prime steaks and tacos. Founders Don Arnulfo Contreras and Maria Ines Curiel opened the original Karina's in 1981, naming it for their daughter.
