Chef Jose "JoJo" Ruiz, a San Diego native previously of Ironside Fish & Oyster, runs the kitchen at this two-level seafood restaurant inside Pendry San Diego in the Gaslamp Quarter. Ruiz earned James Beard Certified Smart Catch Leader recognition for sourcing seafood sustainably, and the menu runs from a raw bar and specialty nigiri to dry-aged steaks. A private dining area sits off the main room for smaller gatherings. Reservations are accepted seven days a week.
