The Cottage Encinitas

Three decades after opening as a breakfast institution in La Jolla, The Cottage expanded to Encinitas in 2022 under owners Jason Peaslee and Bernardo Kanarek. The 3,500-square-foot Encinitas Village location, next to Trader Joe's on El Camino Real, was built to echo the coastal-craftsman look of the flagship. Its granola and coffee blends are roasted and packaged on site, the same way they're sold as take-home bags.
