On Third Avenue in Chula Vista, Grind House started as a morning coffee shop in January 2017 before adding beer, wine and a full food menu. Chef Tom Logsdon, known for The Balboa Bar & Grill and Sister Ray's, built out the breakfast sandwiches and pastries. Espresso, cold brew and flash brew round out the drink menu, alongside toasts, bagels and sandwiches served with a side of chips.
