A former Coronado landmark called the Carez Hizar House, built in 1889, holds Chez Loma, a French bistro a few blocks from the Hotel del Coronado. The dining room keeps white tablecloths, a bar and a menu that runs from a straightforward burger to duck leg confit and beef Wellington, backed by a sommelier-chosen wine list. Reservations run through OpenTable or by phone, and the restaurant has served the neighborhood since 1974.
