In a petite 1,500-square-foot storefront on Coast Highway 101 that once held Eve Encinitas, Clique Hospitality's Temaki Bar seats 38 people around a fish counter beneath a hand-painted mural by artist Todd DiCiurcio and surfboards mounted as wall art. Chef JoJo Ruiz, known locally for sustainable seafood, built the menu around made-to-order hand rolls served one at a time instead of family-style, alongside sashimi, beef tataki, and a tuna poke bowl. Seats are first-come at the counter, tracked through an OpenTable waitlist rather than table reservations.
