In La Jolla, Roppongi reopened on Prospect Street in December 2025, a decade after the original 1998 pan-Asian restaurant closed over rising rent. Designer Stephanie Parisi redid the space with curved walls, oval tables and a leathered quartzite bar around the original fireplace, framed by Buddha statues and ceiling sculptures. Executive chef Alfie Szeprethy brought back the signature crab stack alongside dumplings stuffed with lobster and duck confit, an expanded sashimi list, and diver scallops over potato pancakes with a sun-dried tomato hollandaise.
