Panevino

On 5th Avenue in the Gaslamp Quarter, Panevino has run continuously since 1992, when Sicilian-born Vincenzo Lo Verso and Alessandro Minutella built the restaurant from the ground up into one of the neighborhood's oldest. Exposed brick, chalkboard specials and a sidewalk terrace popular for people-watching set the room, with a menu that runs from burrata and bruschetta to osso buco, roasted pork loin and a Tuscan-style grilled ribeye. Family recipes the founders brought over from Sicily still anchor the kitchen.
