Snooze, an A.M. Eatery

Along 5th Avenue in Hillcrest, a garage-style window opens Snooze's dining room to the sidewalk, its retro-nostalgic decor built for the neighborhood's morning crowd. The kitchen turns out chilaquiles benedict, corned beef hash and sticky bun French toast, plus bread from local bakery Bread and Cie and coffee shipped weekly from Guatemala. Waits regularly run past an hour once the room fills.
