Domino Park

James Corner Field Operations, the firm behind the High Line, spent six years designing this stretch of East River waterfront on the old Domino Sugar Refinery site, which opened as a park in June 2018. Salvaged factory equipment lines the riverside walk, including four syrup collection tanks, and the benches and other wooden structures are built from reclaimed refinery wood. At the south end, a fountain sends jets of water eight feet into the air over a plaza with Manhattan skyline views.
