A modern-day saloon fills a restored storefront on Christopher Street for Talea's West Village taproom, done up in exposed brick, brass accents and mango-colored tiles rather than the block's usual dark wood. The women-owned Brooklyn brewery pours its sours, stouts and IPAs here alongside espresso, wine, cocktails and a ten-inch Bavarian pretzel. A tucked-away nook called the Snug nods to the hidden rooms women used for drinking during Prohibition.
