Twenty-eight rotating taps run behind a cozy, exposed-brick room on 9th Street, opened in 2012 by the team behind Mission Dolores and Bar Great Harry. Managing partner Steven Baird built out a distilled-beer program that's rare in the city: about a dozen distillates on rotation, poured two ounces at a time. A few pinball machines, including an Indiana Jones cabinet, sit in back, and there's no kitchen, so bring your own food if you're staying a while. Dogs are welcome too.
