Four friends from France opened this wine bar on West 4th Street, with owner Yohann Pecheux choosing more than 40 French wines available by the glass or half bottle. Dark wood, candlelit tables and big windows onto a quiet, tree-lined block fill the single room. The kitchen serves French and Mediterranean plates built for sharing: a cheese and charcuterie board, charred octopus, and tomatoes stuffed with ground beef, a Provençal specialty. Every seat, including those at the bar, is held for people having dinner, so there's no dropping in for just a glass.
