Nine seats face the counter at Fuku Omakase, a few blocks from Washington Square Park, where a single tasting menu runs 13 pieces of sushi over about an hour. Five seatings run each evening, and the small room means a full table can watch every piece get cut and plated a few feet away. Guests can bring their own wine or sake with no corkage fee charged, a rarity for a sushi counter this size. Reservations are recommended given how few seats there are to begin with.
