Alice’s Tea Cup

Named for Alice in Wonderland, this Upper West Side tearoom pours more than a hundred loose-leaf teas and serves scones with clotted cream and raspberry preserves, plus a salmon Benedict built on a scone instead of an English muffin. Tutus and tea accessories by the door signal the audience: the two-room space is a fixture for kids' birthday parties as much as it is a weekend brunch spot for adults. A full afternoon tea service runs alongside the a la carte menu, with cocktails and coffee for anyone skipping the tea.
