Lanterné Lab

At this Chinatown candle studio on the corner of Mulberry and Bayard, each session starts with a choice from more than 25 fragrances and a vessel to pour them into. A host walks the table through measuring and blending before the pour, then steps back to let people work at their own pace. Cooling and setting the candle takes about an hour, so it's picked up later rather than carried out the door, and the room allows guests to bring their own bottle while they work.
