Park Slope's stretch of 5th Avenue holds The Gate, a bar built around an ever-changing tap list pulled partly from what the site calls "The Gate Vault," a stash of cellared kegs mixed in with rare and seasonal releases. Red cafe tables spill onto the sidewalk out front, and the patio fills first once the weather turns, making it one of the neighborhood's better spots for drinking outside. The bar stays open past midnight every night but Sunday, closing at 4am, which makes it as much a late stop as an early one.
