King Cole Bar

A Maxfield Parrish mural of Old King Cole hangs over the bar at the St. Regis, painted in 1906 for the Knickerbocker Hotel and moved here in 1932. Bartender Fernand Petiot invented the Bloody Mary in this room in 1934, though the hotel renamed it a Red Snapper to sound less vulgar, and that's still what's on the menu. The bar keeps a smart casual dress code and opens at 4pm, pairing light bites with the cocktail list.
