Raines Law Room at The William

A ground-floor room inside The William hotel in Murray Hill holds the second Raines Law Room, done up in black walls, velvet chairs, a bookshelf and a working fireplace that make it look more like a parlor than a bar. The cocktail list leans on whiskey, built to order rather than poured from a well, the way the original Chelsea room built its reputation. There's no sign on the street: walk into the hotel and the room is just off the lobby. Reservations run through Resy, since seats are limited most nights.
