Dutch Fred’s

Legend has it a Prohibition-era cop named Dutch Fred gave Hell's Kitchen its name after reacting to a neighborhood riot, and the cocktail bar honoring him leans into the era with mosaic tile floors, framed portraits, and black-and-white films looping on the screens. Owners Michael and Pat McNamee built their fourth Hell's Kitchen room here, hiring Employees Only alum Tony Erzene for the cocktail list. The Curtain Call mixes rye, amaro, lemon, and egg white; the Dutch Courage runs jenever with celery bitters and orchid flowers. A beer list runs to two dozen craft bottles alongside the cocktail menu.
