Blacked-out windows make Nothing Really Matters look empty from the sidewalk, but the space sits at the downtown 1 platform on 50th Street, carved out of what used to be storage room for the Duane Reade upstairs. Exposed pipes and metal grates hang over one long room built around a wooden bar, with a semi-private nook toward the back and 90s hip-hop and R&B on the speakers. The cocktail list runs long and includes several low-ABV and mocktail options alongside the classics. Reservations go through Resy, and the bar sits a few blocks from the Theater District, convenient before or after a show.
