Meaghan Dorman, who also runs the cocktail program at sister bar Raines Law Room, built Dear Irving around four rooms that each play a different decade: mid-century modern in glass and hi-fi, an art deco room done in silver beads, a Victorian sitting room in red velvet and marble, and a back room strung with chandeliers. Order by pressing a small bell at the table instead of flagging someone down. Cocktails split between classics and house creations, alongside small plates meant for sharing rather than a full dinner. Reservations are encouraged, especially for bigger groups, and going at an off hour beats waiting for a table.
