At this University Place corner of Greenwich Village, NYU students fill exposed-brick tables carved up with initials and graffiti while rock plays over the speakers. The menu runs to a turkey Reuben on thick wheat bread, a Philly cheesesteak wrap, salads sized to split, and soups substantial enough to be dinner alone, chilled avocado and corn among them. Espresso drinks fill out the rest of the counter: a cafe au lait, a caramel macchiato, plain iced coffee. Lines back up toward the door at breakfast and lunch, so the quieter stretch is the one worth timing for.
