A basement on Rivington Street, below a sushi spot, holds this cocktail bar founded by Harrison Snow, Jake Hodas, and the DJ known as Brother Cleve. Snow's father, a professional boatbuilder, helped build the room's low-ceilinged interior, filled with couches for a house-party feel. Brother Cleve spins from a stack of vinyl 45s that ranges from Brazilian funk to Japanese pop, and people dance even without a formal floor. Cocktails top out around fifteen dollars, including a frozen Dole Whip riff and a ten-dollar house punch.
