Under the Manhattan Bridge on Water Street sits a 7,000-square-foot plaza paved in historic Belgian block. The Department of Transportation closed it to the public for 17 years until the DUMBO Improvement District pushed to get it reopened. The Live at the Archway series has filled it with live music and interactive art on summer Thursdays since 2015, and Dumbo Station, a seasonal outdoor kiosk, pours wine and beer whenever the plaza is open to the weather.
