Tony Yoshida, who also owns the East Village speakeasy Angel's Share, opened this twelve-seat bar next to Japan Village at Industry City in 2019, his first expansion outside Manhattan. Suntory Toki highballs, sake, and fruit-forward cocktails make up the drink list, while a food menu of chicken karaage, corn tempura, and fried squid legs comes from the kitchen next door at the izakaya WakuWaku. City pop, disco, funk, and new wave music keep the room's soundtrack tied to the era the bar borrows its look from. With just a dozen seats plus counter standing room, a Friday or Saturday walk-in is a gamble worth avoiding by calling ahead.
