Sweet Afton

Kris Moran, the set decorator behind Wes Anderson's Moonrise Kingdom, redesigned this Astoria bar into her own take on his look, and the garden patio and an enclosed room called the Glass House carry it through the winter. The kitchen serves burgers and fried chicken sandwiches until 1am most nights, then switches to French toast sticks and breakfast nachos for weekend brunch. A separate candlelit room called Sidekick seats private parties with their own bartender.
