The Hidden Pearl

The Hidden Pearl sits behind Wanpaku Ramen in Greenpoint, an entrance that owner Arnold Cheung has said wasn't originally meant to work as a speakeasy setup. Eater has counted just 18 seats inside, under skylights that keep the room brighter than the typical dark, cavernous hideaway. The cocktails run tropical and Japanese, built on ingredients like yuzu, miso and sake, alongside small plates such as salmon skin chicharron and fried baby octopus.
