Honey’s

Raphael Lyon and Arley Marks run Honey's as the Bushwick tasting room for Enlightenment Wines, the meadery they started after leaving the bar program at Mission Chinese Food. Mead is honey wine, fermented dry rather than sweet, and the bar builds cocktails around bottles of it alongside a beer and wine list. The room splits the difference between industrial and herbalist: wire-mesh security glass backs the bar, and geraniums scent a run of galvanized metal countertop. It sits on Scott Avenue, in the stretch of Bushwick that also reads as East Williamsburg.
