Momofuku's Caribbean bar sits beside its sister restaurant Kabawa on Extra Place in the East Village, with turquoise-and-white walls and Caribbean music over the speakers. Half the drink menu is built around the daiquiri, from the classic Daiquiri Kabawa to a Bay Leaf version made with nitro-muddled bay leaves, and one side of the room works as an open kitchen where cooks fry and bake chef Paul Carmichael's patties, stuffed with short rib and bone marrow or a Guyanese pepperpot duck. Reservations open 14 days out on OpenTable, but the bar also holds space for walk-ins.
