Harry Oliver, the film art director behind Beverly Hills' Witch's House, built this storybook-style inn on Los Feliz Boulevard in Atwater Village, and the same family has run it since 1922. Tartans, crests and medieval weapons hang on the wood-paneled walls. Walt Disney and his animators ate here so often that Table 31, by the fireplace, has a plaque and can be booked. The kitchen does prime rib and Toad in the Hole, a Yorkshire pudding filled with beef and Guinness gravy. There's a wall of more than 650 whiskies, and trivia in the bar on Tuesday nights.
