Little round tables take up half the Vermont Avenue sidewalk out front, and inside there are red booths, aged mirrors on every wall and a big zinc bar. One kitchen runs from breakfast to late: crêpes and eggs at brunch, then steak frites, duck leg, mussels and escargots, with croissants, pain au chocolat and macarons from its own boulangerie. Meals come out slowly. The exterior stood in for a Manhattan bakery in the 2008 film Made of Honor.
