The 191-acre reserve, acquired by the city in 2009, is open from an hour before sunrise to an hour after sunset, with street parking along Crenshaw Boulevard and no access to the beach below. Named trails (McBride, the Eucalyptus Trail, Gary's Gulch, Burma Road among them) climb through dense vegetation and cross a couple of steep drainages on the way to a lookout point with a bench over the ocean, where wildflowers bloom along the bluffs in season.
