Torrance Bakery

The Rossberg family opened Torrance Bakery on El Prado Avenue on October 18, 1984, in about 1,200 square feet with seven employees. The counter case runs from wedding cakes and custom orders to a full case of pastries and desserts, and the attached cafe serves sandwiches and salads for anyone eating in. The business has grown into two locations totaling 14,000 square feet and more than 100 employees, and Daily Breeze readers have voted it South Bay's best bakery every year since 1993.
