Butterfly

The José Andrés Group runs this rooftop restaurant atop The Shay hotel in Culver City, its design built around the idea of a monarch butterfly landing on a colorful perch. The kitchen sends out tacos and ceviches, including an ahi ceviche in maggi-lime marinade with toasted pecans and crispy amaranth, alongside cocktails made with additive-free agave spirits. It also hosts occasional Latin jazz and salsa nights and a themed happy hour called Sunset Sips. Reservations run through OpenTable.
