The Tower Bar

What was once Bugsy Siegel's apartment on the ground floor of the Sunset Tower, a 1931 Streamline Moderne high-rise designed by Leland Bryant with plaster friezes of zeppelins, animals, and Adam and Eve worked into the facade, now holds this bar. The 80-seat room runs to walnut paneling, rose-colored lighting, and a fireplace, with views over the city from either side and a pianist playing live most nights. Maitre d' Dimitri Dmitrov has run the floor for years. Shorts, baseball caps, phone calls, and photos are all barred at the door, and reservations go through Resy.
