Ye Olde King's Head

A few blocks from the beach and the Third Street Promenade, this British pub opened in 1974 and still runs a Gift Shoppe of imports alongside its fish and chips. There are two bars: the main room, loud with Premier League soccer and rugby on the big screens, and the smaller Bulldog Bar set off to the side. Happy hour runs weekday afternoons from 4 to 7, later on Fridays. The kitschy dining room and patio have hosted weddings, wakes, and celebrity regulars including Anthony Hopkins and Noel Gallagher.
