This Santa Monica Boulevard bar took over the old Gold Coast space and redid it in 70s French disco glam: plush banquettes, gray drapes along the walls, an amoeba-shaped chandelier over the bar. Mornings run on La Colombe coffee and breakfast bites before the room switches to cocktails like the Spicy Mango Margarita and the Or-Tini, with happy hour on weekdays from 4 to 7pm and a Sunday martini social. It draws a queer crowd more interested in talking than dancing.
