John Sparr Tavern

The bar was pulled out of a 1940s tavern in upstate New York and shipped west, and the stained glass is the work of RD Gibbs, a craftsman from the Sparr Heights blocks around it. Two former Disney Imagineers, Rick Powell and Dave Fink, opened the room in 2017 under marble walls and tin ceilings. The kitchen keeps to tavern cooking, rib-eye and French onion soup, with craft beer and classic cocktails and a happy hour Tuesday through Friday afternoons.
