The bar itself is built from recycled plastic appliances and lit in neon, in a strip mall on the Cahuenga Pass between the Hollywood Bowl and Universal. Mike Capoferri and Camron Robertson, who run Thunderbolt in Echo Park, batch and clarify the drinks in advance, so they come out fast, and every one is also poured in a mini version. There's a DJ booth and lounge seating, projection screens running cult movies or The Sopranos, and all-beef hot dogs, including a teriyaki one with Kewpie mayo and togarashi.
