A back patio built around sausage samplers and beer served in 2- and 4-liter boot glasses has kept Red Lion Tavern feeling like Bavaria transplanted to the Eastside for more than 65 years. The bar also fills growlers to go and runs a separate beer-garden happy hour menu through the afternoon. When the patio fills up, the dim lounge downstairs offers a fallback, complete with a pianist working through hours of songs at the keys.
