Brothers Ace and Ed Libby opened this tiki bar in 1958 after working at a Polynesian restaurant on Sepulveda Boulevard. Ownership changed in 2005, and the restoration that followed brought back much of the mid-century room, including the thatched huts installed over the booths and the original floor plan. With no kitchen of its own, the bar lets Durangos Tacos park outside serving street food Monday through Saturday, and regulars can work through the drink book's Grog Log challenge: all 78 tiki recipes over the course of a year.
