On the second floor of the Maybourne Beverly Hills, reached by checking in at the front desk for an escort upstairs, a wood-paneled room holds a humidor stocked with more than a thousand cigars from the Caribbean and Central America. The whiskey list runs from the Scottish Highlands and Japanese distilleries to small-batch bourbons out of Kentucky and Vermont, poured at tables set with mid-century Murano ashtrays. Seating is either a banquette inside or a low table on the balcony overlooking Beverly Canon Gardens. Reservations are required, arranged through the hotel.
